Virginia Department of Health

The Virginia Beach Department of Public Health is on a mission to better understand the public health needs of the A.L.I.C.E. population in Virginia Beach.

A.L.I.C.E. (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, and Employed), represents many people within our community who work hard, but still face health and wellness challenges.

Whether you're an employer of individuals classified as ALICE, or you’re a member of the ALICE population yourself, your insights are invaluable to shaping a healthier future for all.

We invite you to participate in research study via an in-person focus group or an online questionnaire.

PARTICIPATE ONE OF THREE WAYS:

  1. Register to attend an in-person focus group session. Session will last no more than one hour. CLICK HERE to register for an in-person session.  In-person participants will receive breakfast or lunch (depending on time), AND be entered into a drawing to win a $50 gift card.
  2. Complete the online survey by July 31, 2024  and be entered into a drawing to win one of four $50 Amazon gift cards! (Winners to be notified on August 15, 2024) CLICK HERE to complete the online survey.
  3. Share this link with your employees. The first 50 employees who complete the survey will receive a $10 gift card. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ALICEemployEE0724

The in-person focus groups are conducted by a trained facilitator. The questionnaires are quick, easy, and confidential. Your responses will be anonymized to protect your privacy.
Your experiences, insights, and opinions are invaluable to us, and by participating in this study, you are contributing to the creation of more effective, inclusive, and supportive public health programs and policies in our community.
